Berna Hart Welch will present Using the Breed Standard to Evaluate the Golden Retriever. Back by popular demand, this program will provide an overview of the AKC standard for the Golden Retriever, after which multiple dogs will be available for teams to evaluate, score, and present their findings.  Berna Hart Welch has bred the Pebwin Golden Retrievers for over 25 years. Her breeding philosophy is to produce Goldens that represent the standard in all aspects: type, structure, movement, coat, purpose, and most importantly temperament and trainability. Golden Retrievers of Pebwin lineage have earned titles in all areas of dog competition including CH, OTCH, MACH, SH, WCX, TDX, and SDHF. They have been Specialty, Group and Best in Show winners, and many have attained GRC A Outstanding Sire and Dam status, an honor that she is most proud of.  Berna has judged many Golden Retriever Specialty Sweepstakes in all parts of the United States as well as in Canada and is a CCA evaluator for GRCA. Her CH Pebwin XPDNC SDHF OS was recently awarded Best of Breed at the GRCA National and was breeder/owner handled by Berna to top honors.
